Emergency Dentist, North Dallas
Same-day appointments for toothaches, broken teeth, knocked-out teeth, dental abscesses, and all urgent dental problems.
We hold same-day emergency slots every day we are open. Most patients in acute pain are seen within 2–4 hours of calling. If you are in pain now, call us before reading the rest of this page.
What counts as a dental emergency?
Dental pain is not something you should have to manage alone or push through until your next available appointment weeks away. At Spring Valley Dental, we intentionally hold slots open every day for patients who need urgent care. Dr. Houshmand has personally met patients outside normal hours when the situation required it. That is simply the kind of care we provide.
We treat all dental emergencies, including:
If a tooth gets knocked out, act fast
Time is critical. Pick the tooth up by the crown, never the root. Rinse gently with water. Reinsert it into the socket if you can, or keep it in milk or your own saliva. Call us immediately. The sooner we see you, the greater the chance of saving the tooth.
Book emergency appointmentShould I go to the ER or a dentist for a dental emergency?
Hospital emergency rooms can address life-threatening situations such as jaw fractures, facial trauma, difficulty breathing from a dental infection, or severe uncontrolled bleeding. They cannot perform tooth extractions, root canals, crown repairs, or most dental procedures. For most dental emergencies, severe toothache, knocked-out tooth, cracked tooth, lost crown, abscess, calling us directly gets you faster, appropriate care at a fraction of the cost. If you are unsure whether your situation is life-threatening, call 911 first.

“I usually have a hard time trusting people and businesses, but Dr. Aletaha and Dr. Houshmand are very good at what they do. I came here for a dental emergency about 6 years ago, and since then my whole family visits for all their dental needs. I refer Spring Valley to everyone.”
